local jazz artist shoots video on Leland

Not long ago Noa Levy and Shimpei Ogawa stopped by Mission Blue to shoot “I get A Kick Out of You”, a part of their new album You, Me & Cole.

From Noa – Hi everyone,

This is a very special email for me. Our first single, I Get a Kick Out of You, has been released along with a music video (above) and we also got our first review on the album, YOU, ME & COLE.

I wanted to share the behind the scenes story of how the video was shot. As some of you may know, my husband owns a delicious zero-sugar chocolate company, The Good Chocolate, based out of 25 Leland Ave in SF’s Visitacion Valley neighborhood. This neighborhood is rarely visited even by native San Franciscans. But over the last few years, it’s seeing a revival.

The video was truly a local effort – we shot the video inside and outside of the Mission Blue coffee & gift shop on 144 Leland, owned by Kellie & Ken McCord. Also Rodney let us shoot an interview inside of his spacious art studio at 5 Leland Ave. I am super grateful for their support and encourage you to drop by this cute, up & coming neighborhood to buy a coffee and a small gift & check out the work of some local artists.

Coming up next is the 2nd single, In the Still of the Night. Just a reminder that the full album is set to be released July 10th.

As always, thank you for listening and being here on this journey with me. Feel free to write back anytime!
